Third Chakra: Solar Plexus Chakra

“I confidently move forward with choices that improve my life.”

The third chakra, located in our solar plexus, connects to our ego, will, personal power and autonomy. When off balance it can threaten our self confidence, cause depression and confusion. When in balance it brings us harmony and protection, the feeling of being comfortable with oneself and others.

  • The third chakra, Manipura (city of lustrous jewels) derives it name from Sankrit roots: mana (gem, jewel) and pur (city).
  • The Manipura chakra has the greatest concentration of physical power or intense pranic energy, because several nadis radiate from it.
  • Is the center of willpower.

Balancing Manipura Chakra Energy:
Healing Through the Five Senses

Mudra & Mantra

Close your eyes and begin to chant the mantra “OM RAM” for 3 minutes. First out loud for a few rounds, then silently to yourself. While chanting, I would like you to visualize a bright yellow energy penetrating your solar plexus from the front and back of your being. This beautiful yellow light is cleansing and energizing your Manipura chakra into the glowing sunshine bright yellow chakra it is. Also, keep in mind any sensations, colors, pictures or words you might experience, these are all messages from the divine.
